Hooked a trout and landed it.
Walked from 34th to 44th
on Broadway.
Crowds and stress
Oy vey
Beautiful morning on the river.
Cathy said it was perfect,
Even with a slight shiver.
Maybe better to have hooked 4
and landed 3.
Go figure.

Wonderful sensibility in this piece. Love the juxtaposition between NYC and the river. Workshop style comment: I think the 2nd line (“Hooked a trout and landed it.”) is out of place. I feel it more after “Even with a slight shiver.”
