Cancer notwithstanding,
I can create poetry
that brings loving and positive responses.
Can I go further?
Is there a bigger statement?
My challenge is
Our challenge.
Our world is
grievously wounded.
Our official leaders
continue to fail.
Can we the people
create a better world?
Can we do it when we want to vomit;
When we are nauseous and uncomfortable?
Can we do it
Without knowing how?
Without any assurance of success
or even recognition?
